Short terms, written to be read.

1. Agreement

By downloading or using Zency Scan (“the app”), made by Zency (“we”), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app. If you got the app from the App Store, Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies; from Google Play, the Google Play Terms of Service also apply.

2. License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app on devices you own or control, as permitted by the store you downloaded it from. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer or resell the app, except where the law allows it.

3. Your content

Documents you scan or import are yours and stay on your device. You are responsible for having the right to scan, store and share them, and for keeping your own backups. We do not have access to your content and cannot recover it if it is lost.

4. Lifetime Pro

  • Lifetime Pro is a one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase. It is not a subscription and does not renew.
  • Payment, refunds and restoring purchases are handled by Apple or Google under their policies. Use “Restore purchase” in the app with the same Apple ID or Google account.
  • Prices may differ by country and may change; a purchase you already made is not affected.

5. Acceptable use

Do not use the app to break the law or to violate other people's rights, including copying documents you are not allowed to copy.

6. Accuracy

Text recognition, detected phone numbers, dates and addresses, and filters are automated and can make mistakes. Check important documents before you rely on them. The app is not legal, tax or financial advice.

7. Updates and availability

We may update, change or stop offering features. Some updates may be required to keep using the app.

8. Disclaimer

The app is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law.

9. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for loss of data, arising from your use of the app. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the 12 months before the claim.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The effective date above shows the latest version. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept it.
